About Us

Ealaín na Gaeltachta Teo. promotes the development of the contemporary and the traditional arts in the Gaeltacht and is a joint venture between Údarás na Gaeltachta and the Arts Council.

Ealaín na Gaeltachta provides services and grant schemes that support the development of arts organisations and individual artists. We also support training and mentoring support, as well as supporting initiatives that help build the capacity of and infrastructure for the arts in the Gaeltacht.

Culture Night 2025

We welcome applications from individuals and groups who wish to organise an event in the Gaeltacht as part of Culture Night 2025 – which will take place in September.

Artist Bursary Scheme 2025

The aim of this scheme is to support individual professional artists who are living in the Gaeltacht and working through the medium of Irish, by allowing them to set aside time to pursue excellence in their practice.

Information Sessions on the Ealaín na Gaeltachta Bursary Scheme

Online information sessions will be provided to give further details about the scheme:

  • Tuesday, 17 June, 19:00 – 20:30
  • Wednesday, 18 June, 10:00 – 11:30

Public Art Commission for Campas Íosagáin

The Public Art Commission for Campas Íosagáin, a redeveloped historic site in the Múscraí Gaeltacht -Baile Bhuirne, Co. Cork is currently open for proposals. All artforms and interpretations of public art are welcome. The artwork must be new and original, and engage meaningfully with the context and community.
