Ealaín na Gaeltachta announces funding schemes to support Arts Programmes for Young people

Young people have been established as a priority in the Ealaín na Gaeltachta Strategy 2023–2027. To develop and implement opportunities in arts for young people, Ealaín na Gaeltachta is collaborating with the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport, and Media.

Increasing youth involvement in the arts in the Gaeltacht is central to Ealaín na Gaeltachta’s vision for Cuisle, the organization’s youth program, which aims to preserve and develop culture for future generations.

Cuisle is working strategically to develop a programme in traditional arts and youth drama in the Gaeltacht, through a range of funding schemes, supports and development actions.

Ealaín na Gaeltachta has announced the 2024 funding schemes for youth drama and traditional arts projects across the Gaeltacht areas in order to achieve this goal. This is an opportunity for local groups, organisations, and artists in every Gaeltachta area to create a programme for young people.

Scéim Treisiú: (Maximum funding €15,000)

Scéim Síol (Maximum funding €1,000)

In addition to these funding schemes, Ealaín na Gaeltachta will continue to support artists and groups to ensure they have the appropriate skills to develop drama.
