Heritage Week: Guided walk by the banks of Crolly River

This guided walk along the historic boundary between Na Rosa and Gaoth Dobhair will relate the story of early Neolithic settlements, the Golden Era of the O’Donnell Clan and the social, cultural and environmental heritage of the catchment basin. As this is the International Year of the Salmon a particular emphasis will be placed on the role of salmon in the area’s culture and history, from medieval to modern times, including the effects of environmental change and human impact on salmon habitats. This guided walk will be in Irish.
